For foreigners entering Korea, 'protection' is actually a very cruel treatment.
This is because not only are they detained in shelters for a certain period of time, but in most cases, deportation sentences in Korea fall.
Although many human rights lawyers have been able to improve their treatment and defend themselves, it is true that they are still in a difficult situation.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Justice will launch the Foreigner Protection Committee on June 1.
The Foreigners Protection Committee independently reviews foreigners' objections to foreigners' 'protection orders' and 'reprotection orders', reviews and decides on the extension and temporary release of the protection period.
Considering that 'protection' in the Immigration Control Act is a disposition that accommodates foreigners subject to forced eviction in designated places until they leave the country, it is clear that it is an institution that will be of great help to foreigners.
For those who are illegally staying or unfairly flocking to illegal immigrants, it would be okay to apply for a petition with the relevant committee as of June 1st.

출입국관리법에서 ‘보호’는 강제 퇴거 대상인 외국인을 출국시키기 전까지 지정된 장소에 수용하는 처분임을 생각하면, 외국인 여러분께 큰 도움이 될 기관임이 분명합니다.
혹 불법체류 중이거나, 억울하게 불법체류자로 몰리신 분들은 6월 1일을 기해 해당 위원회에 진정을 신청해보시는 것도 괜찮을 것 같습니다.
