It's about top-tier visas that we've covered a few times before.
As I have more specific information today, so I would like to share it with you.
1. Target field
- Semiconductor, bio, secondary battery, and display industries (as of April 2025)
- Robot, Defense Industry to be Designated Additionally in the First Half of the Year
2. Target number of people
- Senior engineer or senior researcher leading project planning, research, and technology development in advanced fields
3. Salary conditions (based on employment contracts with domestic companies)
- A person equivalent to three times the per capita GNI (149.85 million won) or more
- However, if the annual salary is more than four times the GNI per person (KRW 199.82 million), the subject is recognized even if any of the following academic and career requirements are not met
4. Academic conditions
- A person who has earned a master's degree or higher in a university selected within the last five years from one or more of the QS, Times, US NEWS University Evaluation or QS - Engineering and Technology, Times - Engineering, US News - Engineering University Evaluation.
- Domestic universities available (Seoul National University, KAIST, Yonsei University, Korea University, Pohang University of Science and Technology)
5. Career conditions (met at least one of the following)
- A total of 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years at global enterprises affiliated with Forbes Global 2000 (up to 500), Fortune Global 500, and Time 100 World Most Inclusive Companions
- A person with more than five years of research experience in advanced fields after obtaining a doctorate, including more than three years at a research institute of a university ranked within the top 100 in the world within the last five years, a research institute affiliated with a global company, and a government-led research institute.
- Experienced domestic manufacturing companies are available (Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, POSCO, Hyundai Mobis, Samsung C&T)
6. Benefits
- Issuing an F-2 visa to yourself and your family
- Three years after issuing a Top-Tier Visa, a Permanent Resident Visa is issued
- The Seoul Immigration Office's 'Excellent Human Resources Investment Support Center' provides exclusive visas and convenience for stay
- Allow invitations to parents and housekeepers
- Issuance of K-Tech Pass
- Temporary eligibility for E-7 stay if some requirements are not met for issuing top-tier visas
- Even before employment is confirmed, D-10 status is given priority

- 1인당 GNI의 3배(1억 4986만 5천원) 이상에 해당하는 사람
- 단, 연봉이 1인당 GNI의 4배(1억 9982만원) 이상인 경우, 아래 학력 및 경력 요건 중 어느 하나를 충족하지 못한 경우에도 대상 인정
4. 학력 조건
- 최근 5년 내 QS, Times, US NEWS 대학 평가 혹은 QS - Engineering and Technology, Times - Engineering, US News - Engineering 대학 평가 중 하나 이상에서 100위 이내에 선정된 대학의 석사 학위 이상을 취득한 사람.
- 국내 대학 가능(서울대, KAIST, 연세대, 고려대, 포항공대)
5. 경력 조건(아래 중 하나 이상 충족)
- Forbes Global 2000(500위 이내), Fortune Global 500, Time 100 World Most Influential Companies에 소속된 세계적 기업에서 3년 이상 근무를 포함하여, 총 8년 이상의 근무 경력을 가진 사람
- 최근 5년 내 세계 대학순위 100위 이내에 선정된 대학의 연구소, 세계적 기업의 부설 연구소, 정부 주도 연구소에서의 3년 이상 근무를 포함해, 박사학위 취득 후 5년 이상 첨단분야 관련 연구 경력을 가진 자.
- 국내 제조기업 경력자 가능(삼성전자, 현대자동차, 기아자동차, 포스코, 현대모비스, 삼성물산)
6. 혜택
- 본인 및 가족에게 F-2 비자 발급
- 탑-티어 비자 발급 3년 후, 영주권 비자 발급
- 서울 출입국 외국인청 ‘우수인재 투자지원센터’에서 전담 비자발급 및 체류 편의 제공
- 부모 및 가사보조인 초청 허용
- K-Tech Pass 발급
- 탑-티어 비자 발급에 일부 요건 미 충족시, E-7 체류 자격 임시 부여
- 취업 확정 전이라도, D-10 체류 자격 우선 부여
